The railbus is a typical “narrow gauge” solution to the problem of providing passenger vehicles at nominal cost. Take a truck chassis, replace the wheels, drop an old coach body on it and you’re in business!
AMY is typical of the breed and would look at home on British, Continental or American railways. Just like the real thing the bodywork is constructed from pre-cut wooden parts with no fiddly overlays to deal with, the coach sides and ends being supplied with details ready machined. This has been made possible by the use of sophisticated, computer controlled routing machines that have done all the hard work for you! and the engine cover and radiator from metal, in this case whitemetal castings. The kit is complete with motor/gearbox unit, bogie, steel wheels and axles, and a full range of detailing parts. (See photos below) Fully illustrated instructions are provided and AMY also features a manual speed controller (disguised as a brake standard) and a working tail lamp.
Both 32 and 45 mm gauge versions can be built from the standard kit and only normal hand tools are required.
Length 370 mm. Height 138 mm. Width 102 mm

Connoisseur Kits
are designed for experienced modellers who have built wooden and whitemetal kits in the past. Although only a selection of hand tools are necessary for construction, accurate measuring, marking out and cutting of both wood and metal components is required.
